The campground is open year-round but has seasonal restrictions during the winter. May through October: Reservations can be made up to four months in advance.
All sites are reservation only. November through April: The campground reduces to only one loop with 20 sites.
Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Azalea campground is centrally located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

RV fit and campsite setup
- The length of RV or trailer that can be accommodated varies by site. Site 93 can accommodate RVs up to 47 feet in length. The campground has no hookups or dump stations. The nearest dump stations (summer only) are located at Dorst Creek Campground (when open) in Sequoia National Park, or Princess Campground (Hwy 180 at Hume Lake junction) in Sequoia National Forest. Generators are allowed between 9 am to 9 pm.
